This term, as part of the Key Stage 3 Enterprise Education, students at Overton School will be participating in the National ‘Tenner Challenge’.
The ‘Tenner Challenge’ involves students being given £10 and a month to build a business and generate a profit. From mind mapping the possibilities of products through to their production, marketing and selling, it will be a very busy time for these budding entrepreneurs. Students will need to plan a budget, produce their goods, write and give a pitch to the school “Dragons” before selling the goods at an end of term market.
As always we encourage our young people to think broadly about their contribution to the wider community, both locally and nationally and also encourage them to make a donation to a charity of their choice.
We look forward to seeing and hearing all about student’s products in a month’s time and potentially seeing them pitched to the BBC Dragon’s in a few years time!
