Our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition was an exciting and rewarding experience that challenged our students to step outside their comfort zones and develop valuable life skills.
Throughout the expedition, participants demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and determination as they navigated their way around Mortimer Forest in the heat. Students showed increasing confidence in their map-reading, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; taking responsibility for their own journey.
Despite the physical demands of the expedition, students maintained a positive attitude and embraced every opportunity to learn. They displayed good teamwork, communication, and perseverance, proving that they could work independently while remaining focused on their goals.
The expedition provided an invaluable opportunity for personal growth, helping students build confidence, independence, and leadership skills. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the mature, responsible way they represented Overton School throughout the expedition.
Congratulations to all participants for their hard work, commitment, and determination. Their success reflects the true spirit of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and provides a strong foundation for future challenges and adventures.
