The Overton Tuck Shop

Retail students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test.

At Overton the AAD (Ask, Accept, Develop) strategy is at the forefront of everything we do. Retail pupils asked if they could open a school Tuck Shop, together they created a Powerpoint, designed a logo and produced a survey of items peers would like to have the opportunity to purchase, they then presented this to Nicola and Sam. Their determination was inspiring and with a set up budget of £50 The Overton Tuck Shop opened, pupils now maintain the tuck shop with the takings; ensuring they make a profit, they shop for the best deals to offer value for money. Alongside this, retail pupils are completing an Openawards Retail Qualification. The Tuck Shop is open every Friday afternoon 2pm-2.30pm.
