Chinese New Year

Pupils at Overton School who have been studying Chinese Language celebrated Chinese New Year, they have been working hard to create beautiful decorations and learning about special traditions that take place during the celebrations. Our very own Amy Luxton and pupils who have been learning Chinese led a fantastic whole school assembly providing pupils with the opportunity to taste authentic Chinese food for the first time. Two students impressed the school by speaking Chinese and demonstrating what they have learnt. Chinese is new to our curriculum this year and is becoming more popular.
