Allergy Awareness week 2025
As part of Allergy Awareness week, we held a whole school assembly where pupils were able to identify the risk of allergies and how to help someone if they were to have an allergic reaction, pupils then continued to have important discussions as part of their daily form time engaging with games, puzzles and sharing with each other their own experiences, pupils are aware we have pupils with various allergies in school and how the school supports that for example we are a no nuts school and our chef prepares dairy/gluten free meals, ensuring she has up to date knowledge of what allergy each young person/staff member has.
F.T. showed interest in an Allergy Awareness booklet on Peanut allergies, distinguishing between foods that make us sick vs foods we dislike. FT could relate to foods he dislikes and was therefore interested that there are foods that can make you sick/poorly.
